BDPA Regional Conferences Purpose: To promote BDPA, and to deliver to its members workshops, seminars and other activities that address the mission of BDPA. Establish stronger relationships with corporate sponsors, supporters, and educational institutions. Tracks: 1) Chapter Building Workshops and seminars associated with the planning, and management of the four (4) basic programs: 1. Monthly Program Meetings 2. Chapter Newsletters 3. Competition Teams 4. BBS nodes 2) College Internship Career Fair If the region has educational institutions the regional conference provides an excellent opportunity to present the college student members to area corporations for the purposes of being inducted into formal internship programs. 3) Professional Workshops/Seminars Regionals can support a track that presents technical and/or professional development workshops. Industry based companies can be solicited to provide presenters, and products that would be raffled off. 4) Technical Exhibits Industry based companies can be invited to purchase display booths that highlight there products and/or services. Excellent source for additional funding.
