                Chapter Building Workshop

Purpose:      To bring together the members of a BDPA
chapter for the purposes of dissecting the chapter's
programs and activities as they are related to the mission
of BDPA and the resources available to the chapter. To gain
input from chapter members into what programs and
activities will be sponsored by the chapter and establish
priorities associated with these activities. To identify
resources available to the chapter for the delivery of
these programs and activities.

Time:         Generally held on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to
              5 p.m. with morning and afternoon breaks and
              an hour lunch.

Location:     Depends upon resources and imagination of
              the chapter. Possible locations:

    1)        Public Library
    2)        University/College Campus
    3)        Local Chamber of Commerce
    4)        Hotel
    5)        Corporate Supporter Facility

Agenda:       Current Chapter Programs
              Future Chapter Programs

Participants: All financially current members of the
              chapter.

              *NOTE* Former members of the chapter could
                     be invited for the purpose of
                     rekindling their interest in BDPA

Format:       Informal and casual dress

You need:     Note pads/pencils
              Flip charts
              Chapter Bylaws
              Any documentation related to current
              programs
              Current Membership List

Facilitators: Current Chapter President
              Current Elected Officers
              Representatives from other chapters

Results:      Action Plan for future chapter programs
              and activities. Buy-in from chapter
              membership to lend support to these
              programs and activities.
