Research Packet

The goal of RRMJ enterprises is to respond to and develop a workplace that is accessible to persons with disabilities.  At RRJM we feel that with proper technology and education, virtually every person with a disability can be a productive worker.  In order for persons with disabilities to deep their jobs or advance in the company, it is necessary to provide them with the tools to guarantee accessibility to microcomputers and other office equipment.  Since the person with disability has to computer with their able-bodied colleagues, the ability to operate a program efficiently can be important to their maintaining a comparative productivity to their colleagues.

The necessity to develop a workplace for people with disabilities is your response to the President’s Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities Act.  Disabled adults should not be discriminated against in hiring or promotion because of their disability.  The disability of Multiple Sclerosis was determined to be the pilot group after an extensive need assessment of employees with disabilities.  It was found that the majority of your workers suffered from these illnesses and that an immediate action would be necessary.  We will develop a work environment and develop a training program to your needs.

There is no set pattern to MS and everyone with MS has a different set of symptoms.  These symptoms can change in severity and duration.  Because the conditions are unpredictable and sometimes progressive, our proposal has divided symptoms of MS into primary, secondary and tertiary categories.

Most individuals are still working at the time of diagnosis and conditions will most likely be in the primary stage.  As conditions worsen to the secondary and tertiary categories, we are prepared to enable these individuals the ability to continue working with the kinds of difficulty that one may expect to have on the job.

In our efforts to understand the difficulty one may experience on the job with MS, we’ve developed three methods to assess the needs of the disabled individual.  Needs assessments included live interviews with disabled workers, questionnaires, and observation of work habits and conditions.

The needs assessment conducted by our staff concluded that there existed an immediate need to provide the tools to guarantee accessibility to microcomputers and other office equipment.  It was also identified that a work environment will b3e provided for an individual with the disability of Multiple Sclerosis and who’s work responsibly include administrative tasks involving research through the internet and reporting their finding in report form or who are transcribing handwritten documents into computer files.

This research packet will outline hardware and software options, office equipment, and pricing.  Depending on the conditions of the employees, we’ve asserted several hardware and software solutions that address the needs of each employee.   Training is available for all software and hardware.
